star in eye

A star shape inside someone's eyes.

Not to be confused with star-shaped pupils, as the pupils are not actually in star shape, but with a star shape inside it. Also not to be confused with + +, where a large four-pointed star sparkles in front of a character's eyes. Generally the difference from those is that star in eye will be a smaller five-pointed star that is not in the center of the eye.
