Spock served as first officer and science officer of the starship USS Enterprise. He is a mixed human-Vulcan.
His trademark salute is the Vulcan Salute.
Spock was played by the late actor Leonard Nimoy in the original series and its film adaptations, and Ethan Peck in the modern series of the same continuity. In the alternate timeline reboot series he is played by actor Zachary Quinto.
