A Toaru Majutsu no Index character introduced in Volume SS2, Gunha is Academy City's 7th ranked Level 5, and a Gemstone (a natural-born esper, as opposed to one that was raised through Academy City's education system). Nicknamed Attack Crash (念動砲弾 Nendou Houdan, lit. Telekinetic Shell) after his signature attack.
Despite being the 7th ranked, lowest among the Level 5s, he is extraordinarily powerful, and could possibly be ranked as high as number one - however, the full extent of his abilities is unknown, and not even he is fully aware of how his powers work, instead describing them as "guts".
Based on hero stereotypes, he is hard headed, hot blooded, and has a strong sense of justice, even more than Kamijou Touma.
Often depicted wearing a headband and a T-shirt with the Rising Sun Flag on it.
