smoking
The act of lighting up a substance like tobacco and either inhaling or tasting the smoke it emits. This can be done with cigarettes, cigars, pipes, hookah, bong and kiseru. Illegal recreational drugs like marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine can be smoked as well.
This includes both the actual act of inhaling or exhaling smoke, and when the smoker is merely holding a lit cigarette (or other item being smoked).
