Warship Girls R character.
Rodney has blonde low-tied hair with the tail end resting on or just over her right shoulder and blue eyes. Her outfit is a late 18th/early 19th century inspired Royal Navy officer's uniform made of up of a black bicorne hat with golden trim, an embroidered blue coat with red facings, cuffs, collar, golden epaulettes, aiguillette, a pair of white gloves, a red sash worn around the waist, a white skirt and white thighigh boots.
A large portion of her machinery is located on her right side with all three of her triple 16-inch gun turrets representing the design of the Nelson-class where all main armaments were located forward of the super structure. On her left a large curved shield in the shape of a ship's stern is used as protection. There are several additional turrets of double 6-inch guns located on the inner ring of the machinery as a secondary armament with a mast and crane in the back.
Rodney received a remodel early in the game's life. This version of Rodney sees her entire outfit swap colors with red replacing blue and blue replacing red. The plumage on her bicorne increases with new white plumage mixed into the fray. There's an additional white sash draping down from her left shoulder with golden trim added to almost all pieces of clothing. White garter straps are also made visible.
The machinery is augmented with a green and blue camouflage paint scheme. The main turrets and the rear section of the machinery mounts multiple single 20mm Oerlikon cannons and a single 2 Pounder 8 Barrel "Pom-Pom" anti-air gun. On one turret a Supermarine Walrus rests on a seaplane catapult. The inner ring of equipment is removed with three of the four 6-inch turrets now located on the more ship like designed stern, better representing how these secondary batteries were positioned. The mast has also been replaced with a smokestack and the ship's conning tower with various gunnery and aircraft detecting radar.
On Children's Day 2015 a child version of unmodified Rodney was awarded as a quest reward, with lighter colored machinery covered in crayon graffiti.
A kind individual concerned with the success of her sister and a lover of a nice Atlantic Sea breeze. A combination of her pleasant remodel art and her powerful armor piercing BIG SEVEN special attacks have made her one of the most ringed ships in the game.
Her chibi battle sprite was one of the first to be revealed as a combatant in the Project R trailer .
In April 2016 Rodney was likened to English teacher Ellen Baker due to their almost identical looks and their English speaking backgrounds, with 15k posting an image of Rodney swinging one of her main turrets like a baseball bat.
She is based on the British Royal Navy's HMS Rodney a Nelson-class inter-war warship named after Admiral George Brydges Rodney. Armed with 16-inch main guns she was one of the Big Seven warships. Her ship index number is 9.
