pin-point barrier system

An energy shield system from the MACROSS science fiction universe.

It was shown for the first time in the Choujikuu Yousai Macross anime TV series from the early 80s, where it partially protected the SDF-1 Macross spacecraft. It also was used during the ship's "Daedalus Attack".

In later Macross productions like Macross Plus, Macross 7 and Macross Frontier this system has been adapted for variable fighter use.
