A character from Genshiken, an "uber" otaku.
Madarame is a very thin, tall and tense Japanese young man with glasses, black hair and a short bob cut. He loves anime, manga and video games to an extreme. One of his many many favorite anime characters is "Chad" from "Gungal".
He had some romantic feelings towards his nemesis, Kasukabe Saki (a possible relationship outcome explored in other manga by the same author called Spotted Flower), but he officially ends up paired with Susanna Hopkins at the end of the Genshiken manga series.
According to the Genshiken's club official "otaku" scale Madarame is at the final stage of otakuness.
