In the year 2112, the Mach Rider rides from sector to sector to search for survivors while gunning down the alien invaders riding vehicles known as Quadrunners.

An arcade version, Vs. Mach Rider, released a few months prior [1]. It's namesake is based on a toy Nintendo released back in 1972 [2].
