life mushroom (mario)
A power-up from the Mario series that first appeared in Super Mario Galaxy and later Super Mario Galaxy 2. They extend the player's maximum health to six and will refill the life meter when collected.
They are depicted as a red mushroom with stars in place of spots and black eyes, appearing similar to a super mushroom.
Not to be confused with the 1-up mushroom.
