leader (trickcal)

The player character of Trickcal, the Leader (also called the Master in the English release) is a prophetic figure transported to the land of Elias, who comes to serve as the head of an organization called the Yggdrasil Order within the Sprite Kingdom.

The Leader has no definitive appearance; it is only known that they are human, with the chibi-like residents of Elias often commenting on the Leader's gangling arms and ten fingers. Consequent of their vague description, fan works tend to depict the Leader as a featureless humanoid often with Chinese, Japanese or Korean letters or characters adorning their "face" which correspond to how they are addressed in that language (especially the Korean character 교, which forms part of their Korean name); sometimes the English word "you" is used as well.

The Master lacks the innate magical capabilities of races such as sprites and elementals, but was gifted with the magical ability to read the inner thoughts of others shortly upon their arrival in Elias.

• Youngchun: A mysterious entity who only reveals herself to the Leader, Youngchun serves as a guide, companion, and friend to the player character. It was Youngchun who granted the Leader their mind-reading capabilities, drawing from her own magical power. The two are generally genuinely grateful for one another, with Youngchun having not had anyone to talk to in a long time and the Master appreciating Youngchun's guidance and general friendliness.
• Erpin: The queen of the Sprite Kingdom and a friend to the Leader, despite how often the two butt heads. The two are often seen together as part of their duties within the Sprite Kingdom and the Yggdrasil Order.
• Ner: The head priestess of the Yggdrasil Order, Ner more or less serves as a boss to the Leader due in no small part to her greater knowledge and experience. Nonetheless, she defers to their authority as the Master of the Yggdrasil Order for many important decisions and generally trusts them to do what is right.
• Mayo: An odd and quiet sprite who considers the Leader to be a part of her extensive collection of rare goods, following a "deal" made by Erpin. She is known to sneak into the Master's room to watch them sleep. Generally harmless despite her eccentricities.
