laputa robot

An iconic robot from the movie Laputa: Castle in the Sky. It has a peaked head with mismatched sockets for eyes (one small, one large), a large chest curving down to a small hip, and flat, segmented limbs. Its arms are long enough to extend down to the ground and each segment also has spines. It has an earthy, metallic color (grey or dark brown).

The Japanese term for the robot is literally "robot soldier", though a non-military type has also been shown. This one lacks spines and has a more greener color.
