Kantai Collection's personification of the the Imperial Russian Navy battleship Gangut, the lead ship of the Gangut-class dreadnoughts built before World War I.
Her appearance is somewhat similar to Hibiki, as they share the same artist. She has long grey hair and red/orange eyes. In her basic form she wears a white jacket with belt over a red shirt, black skirt and black pantyhose. She also wears black gloves, black boots and a peaked cap with a white crown and black visor. In her dva (Cyrillic: два, meaning "two") form, she wears her jacket on her shoulders, revealing her short-sleeved red shirt and an all black peaked cap.
A noticeable trait shared with all her forms is a scar under her left eye after being struck by a Heinkel He 111 from Kampfgeschwader 4 (KG 4).
The real life Gangut was launched in 1911 - one year before Kongou launched. This made Gangut the oldest ship in the game upon her inclusion, later to be eclipsed by Conte di Cavour. She was completed in 1915 and served with the Baltic Fleet during World War I, though she saw only limited action.
She is the first native Russian shipgirl in the game (while Verniy is the first shipgirl from the Soviet Fleet, her origin isn't Russian as she was seized as a war trophy from Japan by the Soviet Union after World War II). She is named for the Battle of Gangut in 1714. She was renamed after the October Revolution after her crew mutinied during the February Revolution of 1917.
