The Joker, also known as Joseph "Jack" Grimm V, is one of the main antagonists of the DC Comics Absolute Universe, serving as the main antagonist of the comic series Absolute Batman.

Unlike his Prime Earth counterpart, this variation is a shadowy crime lord and the wealthy CEO of the multinational company JK Holdings. Heavily involved in organizing criminal and terrorist acts globally in the pursuit of greater power and profit, the Joker is the mysterious financier of the mysterious "Arks": a series of black sites owned by JK Holdings that are used as facilities for unethical experimentation on inmates. He has masterminded crime all across Gotham through various criminals including the likes of Black Mask (Batman), Bane, and Mr. Freeze

The Joker is a tall white male with slicked-back black hair and green eyes. In his normal form, he resembles an average athletic man, typically dressed in dark business suits, though he has also been seen wearing stylish white beach attire with a sun hat.

Absolute Batman #15 reveals what appears to be the "true form" of the Joker, with an appearance described as a lengthy, pale white "demon", possibly from being mutated the same way like the other Ark M Test Subjects. The Joker seemingly is able to shift into this predatory form at will, although the transformation seems painful and hard to control. His mouth twisted into a red, elongating smile with multiple rows of sharp teeth, that extend up and over his eyebrows. His black hair turns green and develop prominent, dark, branch-like horns. Other alterations include an elongated tongue, sharp claws, uncanny body proportions and a change in eye color. In this new form, the Joker's voice seems to change in a terrifying manner, as well. Whether this version of the Joker has any supernatural origins or not has yet to be confirmed.
