honk honk (meme)

A meme originating from 4chan which developed in two ways, though typically associated with Touhou's Chen today.

The earlier of the two was based on the episodes titled "The Alien Costume" from Spider-Man: The Animated Series. In Part 3 (Episode 9), Spider-Man attempts to escape by jumping on a train, causing Eddie Brock (as Venom) to steal a truck and ride alongside the train, honking the truck horn. This version of the meme would merge into the later and more popular of the two, inspired by the first Touhou comic drawn by bkub, post #244234, which featured Chen honking the horn of a bicycle.

On 4chan, this would inspire crossover art with Venom honking the horn of a bicycle instead of a truck, before the Venom meme faded entirely in favor of the Chen meme.
