hieda no aya

Touhou's eighth Child of Miare, a reincarnation of the writer Hieda no Are who was alive during the timeframe of the Great Hakurei Barrier's creation. Notable for having died before the barrier fully activated and thus being the last Child of Miare to live in the Outside World. Hieda no Akyuu is the ninth and current incarnation.

Currently, as there are no canonical depictions of Akyuu's past lives, any appearance given to Aya in fanworks is pure speculation, but she is generally given the same light purple hair as her current form.
