Gunbuster Pose Wiki

The Gunbuster Pose, also known as the Gainax Pose, is an iconic pose often appearing in anime franchises produced by Gainax. It consists of a person standing confidently with crossed arms and feet wide apart.

It is named after Gunbuster's launch scene in the climax of Top wo Nerae!, episode 4. Contrary to popular belief, Gunbuster only popularized this pose; it was based on a scene from Getter Robo G where Getter Dragon rises out of the water with its arms folded.
