fox mousing
A hunting behavior where a fox dives headfirst into snow to catch mice. Popularized by various documentary footage showing red foxes preparing and leaping near-vertically into deep snow. The seemingly absurd behavior and resulting butt wiggles spawned many derivative posts.
The important parts are the depiction of a near-vertical dive or resulting impact with the upper body buried.
