An emergency exist sign is an exit sign denoting the location of the closest emergency exit in a facility in case of fire or other emergency that requires evacuation. Internationally these signs are typically green colored and depict a person running to or through a doorway, but some designs, particularly in the US, may simply feature the word EXIT usually in red and sometimes in green.
