The protagonist of Fullmetal Alchemist. He is the older brother of Alphonse Elric and son of Trisha Elric and Van Hohenheim.

He is a young teen with yellow eyes and blonde hair, usually in a braid. He often wears a red cloak bearing the flamel symbol.

He is noticeably short for his age, something which causes him great annoyance when mentioned.

He also has automail for his right arm and left leg due to losing both in an alchemy accident. These features are what gives him his eponymous nickname, the Fullmetal Alchemist.
