flamel symbol
A mystical alchemical symbol from Fullmetal Alchemist consisting of a Latin cross with a snake or serpent draped about it. There are a crown and wings on the top.
It is depicted on the back of Edward Elric's red coat, the left shoulder of Alphonse Elric's armor body and Izumi Curtis's left chest.
It has similarities to the real-world symbols of the caduceus and Rod of Asclepius.
