Ambiguous tag. Please use tags that are more specific to the style and usage of the dots, such as:

• ... for ellipses used in speech
• dotted line for lines of dots
• polka dot and related tags for same-size dots in an equally spaced pattern that aren't used for shading/texture
• dotted background for background dots that aren't equally sized and spaced
• screentones, halftone, or ben-day dots if dots are being used as a shading pattern
