dino crisis
A videogame series created by Mikami Shinji, the creator of Resident Evil and published by Capcom. The series involves the protagonists fighting dinosaur outbreaks as a result of scientific experiments gone wrong which transports dinosaurs from the past to the present.
The series consists three games and one spin-off which includes:
- Dino Crisis (1999)
The first game of the series. Set in 2009, the game follows a Special Operative named Regina, whose team head to a secret facility at Ibis Island to capture Dr. Edward Kirk, a scientist who was working on a new alternative energy source called Third Energy. However, upon arriving at Ibis Island, Regina and her team discover the island overrun by deadly dinosaurs as result of Third Energy bringing them from the past.
- Dino Crisis 2 (2000)
The second game of the series. A year after the events of the first game, the fictional Edwards City disappears as result of Third Energy experiment gone wrong. Believing the city got sent in the past, a search and rescue team led by Dylan and Regina travel through a time gate to rescue the survivors and retrieve data from the experiment. As Regina and Dylan battle more ferocious dinosaurs, they must deal with a mysterious faction of humans stopping them and learn why Edwards City got transported.
- Dino Crisis 3 (2003)
The third and final game of the series. Set in the year 2548, the game follows Patrick Tyler, an astronaut whose rescue team discover the lost colony ship, Ozymandias, only to discover the ship is infested with mutant dinosaurs.
