Signature monster of Muto Yugi in the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga, anime and collectible card game. He is the duel monster spirit of Mahad, one of the priests who served pharaoh Atem (Yugi's ancient Egyptian counterpart). His apprentice Mana also appears as a duel monster known as Dark Magician Girl. Known as "Black Magician" in Japanese.
