Mobs introduced in Minecraft update 1.17. Can spawn in various colors, including pink, white, brown, yellow and blue.
The blue variant is notorious for its rarity, with a 1/1200 (0.083%) chance of spawning when breeding.
In July 2021, blue axolotls has became a trend of sort across Hololive virtual YouTubers after Shirakami Fubuki had successfully bred one, influencing other members including Houshou Marine, Amane Kanata, Shishiro Botan, Hoshimachi Suisei and Shiranui Flare, as well as Holostars' Arurandeisu.
