PP-19-01 (also known as Vityaz SN) is a closed-bolt, blowback, 9×19mm Parabellum submachine gun developed in 2004 by a Russian small arms manufacturer Izhmash (Kalashnikov Concern). The weapon is directly developed from the AK-based PP-19 Bizon, and offers a high degree of parts compatibility with the AK-74. "Vityaz" (витязь) is Russian word for "knight".
It uses standard 30-round magazine and comes with a fastening device that joins two magazines together. It can fire high-pressure 7N31 round that can penetrate soft body armor.
