A character from Dragon Ball Z. Also known as Hercule Satan in the Funimation dub, he's the World Martial Arts Champion and the (self-proclaimed) protector of Earth. Father of Videl. His real name is Mark.
Initially introduced as a boastful, loud-mouthed comic relief. Although Satan is very strong for a human, he is no match for the various super fighters within the series, with him ending up running away from any threats and being viewed as a coward by those around him. He does, however, posses a strong sense of justice and luck, as Satan occasionally using his worldwide fame among ordinary earthlings to aid the protagonists in the fight. Most notably convincing the earthlings to spare their spirit energy to create the genki dama during Son Goku's final fight against Kid Buu by using his name.
