A protagonist from the manga and anime One Piece. He is the son of the Marine vice admiral Garp and father of main character Luffy.
He now leads the Revolutionary Army, a rebel organisation that aims to topple the World Government (which almost certainly is the reason for him being the most wanted person in the One Piece world and seen as the worst criminal of them all), but years before that, he was a Marine Cadet, and during the "God Valley incident", he managed to save Shanks, Shamrock, and Bartholomew Kuma from celestial dragons committing a genocide against the locals as a thoroughly twisted contest. Due to this incident, he started questioning whether the Marine and World Government had actually anything to with Justice, left the Marine and started his life as a rebel against them.
