A 1995 American tokusatsu film. The story is an alternate re-telling of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television series. It stars the ensemble cast of Karan Ashley, Johnny Yong Bosch, Steve Cardenas, Jason David Frank, Amy Jo Johnson, and David Yost alongside the villains cast from the original series and Paul Freeman as Ivan Ooze.
Much like the television season, it used concepts from the Japanese Super Sentai series Kyouryuu Sentai Zyuranger, Gosei Sentai Dairanger and Ninja Sentai Kakuranger. It is the first Power Rangers production from Saban Entertainment not to feature any archived footage from Super Sentai, as well as the first film in the Power Rangers franchise. The designs of the third season's Ninja Rangers are based on the costumes used for the Ninjetti uniforms in this movie.
The design of the Rangers in the movie explicitly features the Power Coins of the Power Morpher on their chests to align how the Mighty Morphin White Ranger's chest armor features one, and the suits are made of PVC and metal plating rather than the standard spandex, making them slightly bulkier.
