An Akagi character. Yasuoka recruited him to impersonateAkagi Shigeru due to their physicalresemblance. Though a somewhat skilled mahjong player, he has no talent for gambling, and never actually plays against Akagi; rather, he is outwitted in a high-stakes game by Urabe, and his employer has Akagi take his place. He later loses an off-panel game against Washizu Iwao and is killed.
He is referred to simply as "the fake Akagi" for most of the anime and manga, his name only being revealed when Yasuoka identifies his body.
