ゴリアテ(兵器) Leichter_Ladungsträger_Goliath Goliath_Light_Charge_Carrier
A small remote control vehicle packed with explosives used by the German army during World War II. It looks like a small tank.
They were intended to be used for destroying tanks, disrupting infantry formations, and demolishing buildings or bridges. Unfortunately, a long cable was required between it and the user and this could be easily severed or damaged. The mine itself had weak armor and a low speed and most were destroyed or captured. Although it proved useless for Germany in World War II, it proved to be the basis of unmanned vehicles.
The Goliath tracked mine was also called the Beetle Tank by Allied soldiers because it looked like a small tank.
