A tank combat action anime series originally produced by Actas, with a Summer 2012-2014 manga by Saitaniya Ryouichi, serialized in Media Factory's Comic Flapper. It spawned a manga, light novel, video games, and several feature length films, as well as a promotional collaboration with World of Tanks.
Many of the major characters' designs were handled by Shimada Fumikane, while Nogami Takeshi designed some of the other characters.
The series primarily revolves around the non-lethal tank battle tournament dubbed the sensha-do contested by various all-girl high school teams.
