The real life Deep Impact was an obvious short-lister for the franchise, having made a tentative appearance in a 2016 promotional video. However, due to the alleged controversy arising from the franchise's bastardization of King Kamehameha (which share the same owner, Makoto Kaneko), he and Kaneko's other horses are unlikely to officially appear beyond allusions made in-game.
So far, seven of his progeny appears in the franchise: Satono Diamond (2016 Kikuka Sho, Arima Kinen), Verxina (2nd place in all Triple Tiara races in 2012; 2013, 2014 Victoria Mile), Vivlos (2016 Shuka Sho, 2017 Dubai Turf), Gentildonna (2012 Triple Tiara, 2012, 2013 Japan Cup, 2014 Dubai Sheema, 2014 Arima Kinen), Gran Alegria (2019 Oka Sho, 2020, 2021 Mile Championship, 2020 Yasuda Kinen, 2020 Sprinters Stakes, 2021 Victoria Mile), Loves Only You (2019 Oaks, 2021 QEII Cup, HK Cup, BC Filly & Mare Turf) and Curren Bouquetd'or (No G1s, 2019 Sweetpea Stakes (Listed), 2nd in all 2019 Triple Tiara races).
