Bamboo Memory is often depicted carrying around her namesake shinai (bamboo blade). This shinai is effectively her badge of office, lending her a certain air of authority.
Ironically, despite being the head of the student disciplinary committee, Bamboo speaks in a rough accent very reminiscent of Japanese (male) delinquents.
