Lt. Colonel Aramaki Daisuke (荒巻 大輔) is a main character in the Ghost in the Shell series.
Chief Aramaki is the Executive Director of Public Security Section 9.
An older man, short and balding, he nonetheless commands respect through his strict leadership and fierce sense of loyalty. He has shown a willingness to sacrifice almost anything to ensure the security of his country, with the exception being the lives of his team.
Nicknamed "Old Ape" due to his original manga design resembling a monkey's face.
