A set of seventeen (possibly eighteen) varied, generally antagonistic, very powerful and very bizarre looking alien monsters in Neon Genesis Evangelion.
They serve as monsters of the week for the original series. Most of their designs are based on the original scary and very bizarre depictions of Angels in the Christian Bible.
