Supporting character in Pokemon the Series: XY, and lead character in The Strongest Mega Evolution side story arc. Alain is an aloof Pokémon Trainer seeking to defeat all Mega Evolved Pokémon with his partner, a Charizard that can Mega Evolve into Mega Charizard X.
Initially an assistant to Professor Sycamore, he traveled with Mairin, a novice Trainer. He is working with Lysandre, who led him to believe he can protect Sycamore and Mairin by pursuing Zygarde. He later takes an interest in Ash and his special Greninja, and becomes one of Ash's central Kalos rivals.
