The tenth installment of the Fatal Fury series, the seventh canon entry in the series, and the second game in the series after the timeskip introduced in Garou: Mark of the Wolves. The game released April 24, 2025. City of the Wolves is the first Fatal Fury game in over 25 years, after Garou: Mark of the Wolves released in 1999. The title acknowledges both the western (Fatal Fury) and Japanese (餓狼伝説 "Garou Densetsu") names of the franchise.
The story takes place in ~2008, two years after the events of Garou:MotW - thus twelve years after the death of Geese Howard, covering the events of the second running of the King of Fighters: Maximum Mayhem tournament in South Town and its prize of "Geese's legacy" as the reward.
