A character from the Mario series, she is one of the seven Koopalings that first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3, being the only female member. Wendy appears in numerous platformers, serving as a world boss in one of the first seven worlds and also appears as a playable character in spin-offs, including Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart Tour.
Like her siblings, Wendy uses her shell to attack and can be defeated by jumping on her head three times. She uses her magic wand to summon large rings as projectiles and is quite agile, running and jumping during her boss fights. In New Super Mario Bros. U, she is shown to be skilled at ice skating and is also a rather proficient swimmer in New Super Mario Bros. 2.
Wendy is depicted as a spoiled brat, desiring wealth and prestige and is also fairly greedy. She has a quick temper, often going into a rage over little things and is stated to be a tomboy. She also has a rivalry with Princess Peach and Daisy. Like most of the Koopalings, she has a mostly yellow skin complexion, as well as a yellow head and wears two large goldbangles in place of the spiked bracelets her brothers wear. She is average height and has a pink spiked shell, thickpink lips and wears a red pearl necklace and pinkhigh heels, being the only Koopaling wearing shoes. Even as the sole female Koopaling, she is notably bald and wears a pinkpolka dot bow on her head.
She is named after Wendy O. Williams, the lead singer of the punk rock band Plasmatics.
