Character from Marvel Comics, based on the mythological god of the same name. The prince of Asgard who was banished to Midgard (Earth) for his arrogance and became a superhero. He originally had the civilian identity of Donald Blake, and only recovered his identity as Thor after proving himself worthy of wielding Mjolnir. His archenemy is his adoptive brother Loki. He would later become a founding member of the Avengers.
