Any type of clothing with cutout openings (examples: cleavage cutout, navel cutout, heart cutout), which have criss-crossing laces, strings, or ribbons. Do not confuse with cross-laced slit. A cutout is a hole or opening that closes at both the upper and lower edges, in the same layer of clothing.
