The original mobile game was released on August 4, 2021 and ended service on October 28, 2022. The day the service ended, a standalone re-built version of Danmaku Kagura was announced for Steam, titled 'Touhou Danmaku Kagura: Phantasia Lost', alongside a crowdfunding effort. It was released on February 8, 2024.
