[The Will to Overtake] Satono Diamond
(I'm sure Kita is going to make her move soon.)
Ah, it's so wonderful.
No matter the time, no matter the place,
there she is, running ahead,
leading me forward so patiently.
Her hair and her racewear create a black silhouette, perfectly placed in my line of sight.
And surrounding that shadow... is the light.
(I want to pass her.)
I'm sure what lies ahead is even more dazzling when there's no shadows in the way.
I love it when we walk hand-in-hand.
Laughing, crying, and chasing after our dreams.
Sometimes, as a joke, you dash far ahead. But then, you always stop and ask,
"Are you coming?"
(But still...)
This is a sacred place.
It is a place where we should be civil and sincere.
Even if it's hard, even if we struggle, we must run until the very end.
That is the duty to those chosen for this place.
(But still,
isn't this so fun, Kita?)
I see the determined look on your face when you turn to me with a soft smile.
That's when I'm certain we feel the same. And that's why...
"I am going to win this race!"
