It's actually real. It's called the kusarigama (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kusarigama), and consists of a sickle, a length of chain, and a (smaller) iron weight. Can be quite deadly if used properly...

No you're not. That's Cirno and Daiyousei. I can understand Cirno not being cold, but how does Daiyousei manage?!
1) I've heard of kusari-gama. I've never heard of any with a bloody morning star end rather than the clubbed weight.
2) Am I the only one who saw the outlines through the kimonos (or whatever the actual garment name is) and instead thought "Christ, if they're that thin, aren't they freezing?"

Even if they were wet, I would have thought that winter kimonos would be thick enough not to go see-through when wet.
It's been happening for quite a few strips now. Curiously, the last strip always stayed at the same position, until now. Someone must have re-added the missing images...
What the...Is it just me, or do Cirno and Daiyousei's bras not become visible until you scroll down? When my screen is centered on panel 2 I can't see them, but when it's on panel 4, it's super clear.

Whoa, you're right. Mizuki Hitoshi, are you a wizard?
Also, the double meaning of the "ball and chain" tag on this comic amuses me greatly.
