    Did some digging, found out where this character comes from. The japanese "Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism" (MLIT) put out psa posters reminding people that some folks need special access to certain services, in this case elevators. As far as I can tell, she's just there to model giving way to, say, someone in a wheelchair who needs to use the elevator, not operating the elevator as a profession. The original campaign seems to've been in late 2021, but I was able to find official tweets using images from the campaign posted as recently as last January. No idea what this means for the copyright tag.
