To be fair, it's 40K. Can you honestly name a faction that isn't like that? At least you can say that the Orks genuinely don't know any better, and think their victims are having just as much fun as they are. What's the Imperium's excuse?
Fight them because they genuinely do need to be kept far away from anything and anyone innocent - no argument there. Fight them because they want the fight more than anyone! But don't fight them because you hate them. If you let hatred be the reason why you fight, you're not just like them - you're even worse!

Some people don't seriously understand anyway. It is hard to apply morality when this sort of beings are equvalent to oversized bullies who do not care but themselves and themselves alone. Just like their warhammer fantasy counterparts. They are basically sentinent variant of PEST that needs to be killed to the last ork. Just like the ones from Tolkien's book.
It is best not seperate the orks of 40k/warhammer fantasy to typical orks in other fantasy variant.

Still a lot better to get killed than captured, the ork taskmasters have an innate curiosity for pain tolerance, and under the Beast, orks used to treat humans like cattle. Literally. Everybody seems to have gotten that idea at first from this art, but It honestly teminded me of two other things 1-The way that cats play with a mouse they catched 2-The moment a chimp catches a monkey, right before it starts ripping them appart before they eat it
