I don't think they lose their power, its more like they're like the orcs, they can't say "no" to their husbands. If their husband ask them to tear a army apart I still they they could and would.

Considering that Western dragons are pretty much just the embodiment of avarice and hatred in various classical mythologies, I'd say it's an upgrade.

Though i suppose it depends on whose dragon myths your reading at the time. Some stories have dragons be tamed by humans while still keeping their honor and pride. Others have Dragons living side by side humans and such things.

It would depend on the individual to some extent. There are doubtless many who wouldn't mind having to share a husband with a human women or other monster girl and others that wouldn't dream of it.
But some types would as a species almost if not entirely only accept monogamous relationships. These would include the lamia, medusa and unicorn. The first two due to their extremely jealous natures and the second due to the unicorn needing to keep her man's spirit energy "clean" of the energy of other females in order for her magic to work best.

I'm sensing some deeper meaning behind this. Perhaps this monstergirl is a veiled social commentary of female potential destroyed in partnership with man?
i have found some reasons about lamia, medusa and the unicorn to change their mind about what i have written before. lamia/medusa: humans can be sometimes bisexual and monstergirls too because some have sex with human woman too. if they love man and woman in the same way than it´s no problem to have a married man with a other woman. maybe some monstergirls prefer and enjoy having sex with a human man and a woman at the same time. unicorn: she will only a man who is virgin and not have sex before as husband. but what is with this case? she loves the man and the man regain her feelings but there is one problem. the man was married with a human woman who die and has children with her and when the human children like unicorn too and say mother to her i think she can change her mind. what woman would be not happy when a child say mother to her even when it´s not there own? even a lamia and medusa won´t be jealous in that case. that´s what i think about it.

Kinda reminds me of certain interpretations of Faries and Undines. A race full of Female that can only breed with Human Men. And their children will always be Female. With a race like that, that means they actually owe their existance to Female Women to birth Men. If there was ever a race like that, I would imagine the population of the planet it was on to be like 1 male for every 10 women.
i think there some monstergirls who can have male children because there was human woman that become monsters. like the succubus,dark priest,nereid,amazoness,werewolf,large mouse,witch,roper and vampire. even if a human woman is chaning into a monstergirl that doesn´t mean she ia unable to bear a male child. maybe by other monstergirls who look most to a human can have in rare cases a male child like the alice,youko,inari,elf,dark elf,yuki-onna,angel,dark angel,mimic,jar demon,red oni,goblin,cyclops and dragon. i not sure of any of these monstergirls are able to bear a child but there in my eyes the most who comes near to the humans.

It's part of the backstory of the setting, the lord of the monsters was overthrown by a succubus, who made all monsters female humanoids who have to reproduce with human men, even "corrupting" divine creatures like angels. Monstergirls always bear female children of the monstergirl's race (with the exception of the Echidna, whose offspring beyond the first is of a random new race, as she is the "mother of monsters") and can never have human children nor male children, meaning that without human male - human female relationships bringing forth more human males and females to continue the species, the entire ecosystem falls apart.
Worse, many monstergirls like the elementals or such can spread corruption that turn humans into incubi and succubi, which deals another blow to overall global population.
The default setting, however, seems to be that huamn civilizations generally see all monsters as corrupting, and as such, men who are taken by monsters are considered corrupted, and monstergirls in general are treated with "kill on sight" orders, although it notes that Lamia and a few other species live with humans.
I'd assume, for example, that dragons could become champions of some villages. The humans may let her choose a husband from among their ranks in return for fighting off any other, more dangerous monster girls who come by, especially if dragons are fairly rare, and only take one husband, while things like Mandako (sp?) or Queen Slime can wipe out whole villages.
Without care and revision of social norms to maintain a healthy baseline population, the whole world is screwed, though, and it makes sense that many of the more intelligent monstergirls would want to enter into some sort of alliance with humans to preserve their own species as well as humanity's. Making a "one human man, one human woman, one monstergirl" relationship normal, or at least, a more general polygamist society may preserve the species, but the world would have to be in dire threat before major social uphevals that such a thing would cause would generally be considered an acceptable price. It may also just be that men might just be "rented out" for the purposes of repopulating the species, while family pairs might be made of female-female parent couples who just get insiminated by a male who never actively participates in the family thereafter.
When thinking about those lamia descriptions where they don't keep the men as "husbands", I actually thought about it, in thought maybe that a system like prides of lions or a pack of wolves might be a good analogy... The alpha female or other most successful hunters get the right to mate, but since they're too necessary for the hunt to be kept back on maternity leave, the lower-ranking, older, weaker, poorer hunters actually take care of the young (actually having fake pregnancies and lactating to nurse the young). Like this, I'd think that you might see groups of monstergirls that might be sisters or cousins or aunts that live together as a family, raise their young and hunt as an extended family unit, but occasionally nab a male that they can pass around, as the family unit can handle the additional burden more young mouths would place upon their ability to provide food.
i see. even human woman to become monstergirls are unable have male children. but maybe one case is possible but this has nothing to do with a monstergirl. when a human man become a inncubus and have sex with a human woman the children can be male but boys and girls who born are succubus and inncubus. one other thing is when monstergirls steal man from their homes, attack villages from humans and change people into monsters this will cause fear, anger and hatred in the heart of the humans. so they will join forces aganist the monstergirls and slay any monster who cross their way, any human who become a monster and humans who married a monstergirl or befriended with one. even they don´t care about these monstergirls who will never attack humans and live with humans side by side. if this happen i think monstergirl races will hatred too because these who have no problems with humans will attack by humans too and kill monstergirls that have do this to humans. but humans can with one factor very dangerous to monstergirls and i mean greed. they hunt mermaids to get their blood, enter a dragon cave or echidnas dungeon to get the treasures that they collected, attack alraune/girtablilu because of the nectar and poison to use this like drugs.

But the description said that a Dragon's instincts averted them from harming ANY human, not just those they are in love with.
