    Legend of Zelda

    Legend of Zelda artwork featuring the characters Link and Princess Zelda based on their original NES / Famicom designs. Commissioned as a cover art for the book NES Achievements published by Retro Game Books in 2023.

    Drawn and inked by hand, then scanned and cleaned up in Photoshop, and finally colored in Clip Studio Paint using my classic anime cel shading style.

    Damn. I dare not imagine how long it took him. Or how much it costed him to get a scanner, Photoshop, AND Clip Studio Paint, especially since that last one, if I remember right, switched to a subscription model.

    The perks of being old. I still have working gadgets and stuff from decades ago. Being careful and keeping the devices clean and safe also helps.
