They accepted her back just like that? After completely ditching her, and writing "please do not adopt" on the Amazon box she was ditched in? I mean, hooray for happy endings and all, but isn't this just a little bit non sequiter?

It's the end of the series, and the Status Quo Is God. I mean, it's even MORE random that the Yukari larva just turned into a UFO and met it's "family" of other UFO larvas. Bottom line, it's a gag manga that isn't even remotely trying to have a sensical plot, so don't question how the wizard did it too much, 'k?

also in an earlier strip Ran specifically said it was to teach Yukari a lesson about being useless.
There's also the fact that you could conclude that the box said don't adopt because she intended to come back and get Yukari again. If you want to over think things like I do.
