the original vampires didn't burst into flames. Only time I can remember a vampire bursting into flames is in Buffy, and I wouldn't take that as a reference for vampires at all

Vampires don't really literally burst into flames when exposed to sun light. When they're exposed to sunlight they start to get weaken and eventually die due to the fact that their skin and stuff can't stand the heat and light if exposed for too long. Becoming a vampire suppose to be due to a fact of a virus, like a zombie. The virus is supposingly weak againist sunlight so when it is exposed to long it eventually die. Or it was something like that, I readed it off some book.
On the sidenote there has been a story of a man(forgot his name) who's got a rare skin disease of some kind(or something like that) that whenever he went outside and get exposed to sunlight his skin will start to hurt and cause him pain. He would stay in his bathtub all day to ease the pain and even moved all his work and stuff to his bathroom. He was later killed and died in his bathtub from being stabbed by this lady.
Wow, I just taught some random person some random history or something. I need to get a reward/drink for this!
