Can't understand everyone's fascination with this player. He's solo-ed her hundreds of times taking no dmg, congrats ig but that's nothing particularly special in the Souls community.
Just seems like the player has too much time on their hands. That's hella commitment, even more so that they are willing to help others out with Malenia. I would never summon someone like them myself though, beating a boss yourself or with help without completely relying on your summon is a good feeling that I don't want taken away.

What makes it special is specifically that he spends his time helping other players, and has encouraged many players to follow suit, and keep in mind he's not just soloing a hard boss (many agree the hardest), he's soloing a hard boss that's been buffed by having extra players.

I get that, and that's cool. Soloing a boss that you've practically mastered that's been buffed up just doesn't seem like a special feat to me. The way they have inspired others to follow suit is what is impressive, but I still don't think that warrants the player being put on the pedestal the community has decided to raise them on.
I know I sound like a jerk, but when something like this is done in a community where it's eventually bound to happen I just can't be as hyped or impressed as others would be.

He's also doing it completely naked and not taking a single hit. which is an impressive feat considering she can melt lifebars like butter in a fire

Which others would do regardless, so I see nothing special in that they've done her hitless.
Do every single boss without taking a hit, without using bleed and frost like they use on her, and then I'll consider it an impressive feat.
What really makes me unimpressed by the whole thing is that they are using the bleed/frost combo, what I find impressive are the players who ran Sekiro's boss gauntlet without prayer beads and damage modifiers and do it hitless.

Literally the only thing that not using the weapons they're using would do is make the fights longer. They aren't using the weapon arts, they aren't buffing, they aren't debuffing, no consumables, no pots, just the swords. It takes them almost 10 minutes to beat her with two other players present. It would be soooooo much cooler if it took them 20 minutes instead. He's already proven he can do the fight flawlessly, while the vast majority of players can't even do the fight at all. All changing his weapons would do is prove what's already been proven, but take twice as long.
Why don't you do it, instead? Bare fist only, no armor, no talismans, make the rest of us look like casuals.

I'm in no way saying I'm better, and that I would do better than them. I'm also not the type to sink hours into doing a fight to be able to do it flawlessly. I respect the player for managing it, but I don't see why they are praised so highly in that. I can understand the praise in regards to them helping people out though. A lot of people struggle with Malenia, I was one of those people.
And no, it really wouldn't take that long if they decided to go with different weapons. Malenia staggers quite easily and is susceptible to a lot of status ailments, not just frost and bleed. I went through her fight, at RL81 with a pure physical weapon in twelve or so minutes my first time fighting her. I helped out a friend who also ran pure physical and cleared her in fifteen minutes.
Also, I'm not saying a longer fight would be cooler. I can understand why the player uses the combo. The longer it drags on the more possible it is to make mistakes, not to mention the host might get antsy and try and jump in. I don't resent them for the combo, nor am I putting them down for it either. I just know from personal experience from not only helping my friend but several other players that you don't need the frost/bleed combo to do significant damage to her.
Edit: It should be noted that Malenia doesn't have a whole lot of health for an endgame boss, the trade-off being that she can heal back whatever you deal to her. Take Elden Beast for instance with it's 22k health compared to Malenia's 18k health, add that status procs like frost and bleed and it's no wonder that even with inflated numbers during co-op she still takes a decent amount of damage from procs like frost and bleed.

He's being praised so highly exactly because he did put in the time to do it flawlessly.

You're calling the guy out for using frost-bleed but then recommend using other ailments? Pick a lane! And if he can use any weapon he wants then why can't he use Rivers and Uchi if that's what he wants?

No, that's exactly what you are doing.
I wasn't recommending other status ailments, I was saying that others work with her as well. If anything I was recommending weapons that have no statuses. And no where did I say they can't use whatever weapon they like.
And no, I really wasn't putting them down. Don't put words in my mouth and don't assume to know what I'm thinking when I am clearly stating my thoughts.
Why is everyone getting so heated over statement that isn't even aimed at you? I haven't and won't harass the player, and I'm not talking shit either. My intent, which I strayed from admittedly, was only to state that this kind of stuff is extremely common in the souls community. Not just the flawless run but running around naked fighting bosses.
Why is everyone getting so heated over statement that isn't even aimed at you?
Because no matter where you are on the internet or what you're discussing, 'going into a thread of "people who like Thing" and going about how you don't much care for Thing, Thing really isn't that great, you can't understand why people are so hyped about Thing, meh you people and your love of Thing, etc etc.', is kind of a rude thing to do?
Like, we get it. You don't think LMSH is that impressive. Okay? What did you expect to accomplish by posting it here in a comment section full of people who like LMSH? Why did you feel it was absolutely necessary to come in here and grill people about why they like a thing that you don't like? Was there some reason you couldn't just... close the browser tab, move on with your life, and let people have their fun?
It doesn't matter if you're targeting the people in this comment section directly or not; you're kind of tromping all over everyone's fun just by being here and having this conversation. Regardless of whether you meant to stir trouble or not, regardless of how politely or intellectually you approached it, it's a breach of basic etiquette. Of course people are going to be cranky.

I wasn't intending to grill anyone? I can understand that what I've said may come across as rude, and have even stated that I know I'll sound like a jerk.
And no, my intention wasn't even to start any arguments. And aside from all that I was drunk at the time of commenting and clearly wasn't thinking about my consequences. I truly am sorry if I have offended anyone. I don't start shit up when I'm sober, I know just how easily people can be upset with what my job is.
Although I would like to restate that I do have respect for LMSH, it really isn't an easy feat to beat Malenia in any way whether it's cheese or not. And before anyone tries to call me out for what I said, I am NOT saying the player cheesed her. What I am saying is that others have and still had a hard time doing so.
Lastly, let me apologize once again to everyone for my previous behavior. It was unbecoming, and it was borderline harassment.
also, to follow up on tunodden's comment, even if complaining about a random minor meme *wasn't* inherently kind of silly, doing so here, in the comments section under a piece of hentai based on said meme, is *definitely* silly. It's a time and a place thing on top of everything else, you know?

Soloed her in under 15 minutes with a pure phys build with no ailments on your first try? Watch out folks, this guys massive alpha erection might hit you.

Idk why the hell I said "first time". No, I didn't beat her my first time. It took me closer to ten, it was always some stupid mistake during her second phase that got me killed. I am by no means a pro, nor do I consider myself better than others. Especially when it comes to people like LMSH. I can't flawlessy do bosses.

My sober self knows, but I guess my drunk self doesn't? I don't like commenting stuff like my OG comment, just take a look at my other comments on others posts if possible. I either crack a joke, ask a question, or give advice.
Going out of my way to potentially say something offensive isn't worth the effort in my opinion. That is why I was apologizing in my comment addressing tunodden.

You're forgetting that the current "community" for Fromsoft games is almost solely R*ddit plebs who have the IQ of half a loaf of bread, stale at that. If anything, Let Me Solo Her highlights how poor ER's gameplay really is, with him playing super safe all the time and literally 85% of the time "playing" is spent dodging or spacing the fight. It might be because the guy doesn't wanna risk ever getting hit, so he plays extra safe, but it doesn't change the fact it's boring as all hell to watch. Like wow, you dodged all the risky moves where you're likely to get counter-hit and only attack when you have very safe windows, bravo! But y'know, R*ddit and DS3 zoomers will be all over that regardless.
R*ddit happened here. You can tell by the fact the guy's comments are all hidden. Because that's all people have to vent, instead of making actually good arguments they'll just downdoot the other guy and declare themselves the victor.

I'll be honest and say I don't really interact with the FromSoft community beyond Sekiro and Armored Core. I've no interest in cooping, invading, or even discussing boss strats. It's probably why I'm really only average in terms of other more dedicated Souls players, and why I don't really get along with the more devoted fans.
Also, i'm not purely a consumer, I like to pick things apart and find both the faults and positives. That's part of the reason I like the Soulsborne games however. The gameplay, the "lore", and even just basic mechancis I really love digging into.
I mean, dude is fighting what is presumably an extremely difficult boss while practically naked. I'm sure runs of that sort aren't rare or anything in these games (personally never played), but he's got a unique name, recorded his fight, fought with elegance, and continues to fight to help others (at least 1000 already based on one of his 'recent' videos). More than deserving of a free beer, I'd argue.
